Teaching

Every lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs and goals. I teach voice and piano to students of all ages and levels of experience including children, seniors and everyone in between.

My studio is a safe environment where everyone is welcome regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, health, religion, age or disability.

Students can learn, grown, express themselves and take part in the joyful experience that is making music.

Singing

My mission is to help my students discover their own authentic voice and to empower them to use it confidently as a means of expressing themselves.

The voice is a means of communication. It is essential that we, as singers and artists, have the necessary tools to produce the sounds that a particular style of music requires. Only then can we sing and convey the meaning of the music as well as the text with complete freedom and ease.

My singing pedagogy focuses on functional training that allows for healthy, flexible and free vocal production. My background is in classical voice however I teach all styles of music including contemporary, musical theatre, pop, rock, jazz etc. I am certified in all three levels of Somatic Voicework ™The LoVetri Method (2021) and I incorporate its principles into my teaching.

Piano

I offer beginner to intermediate piano lessons. The Piano is an accessible way to learn how to read and play music. Many musicians who sing or play instruments also play the piano.

Each time after completing a lesson with Adam, I find myself singing no matter where I am or where I'm going. I feel the desire to sing because my voice feels open, relaxed and enhanced by newly acquired skills. Whether we're focusing the position of the larynx or how to pronounce vowels in foreign languages, I leave each lesson having gained new insights, knowledge, and a newly kindled desire to make music. In addition, Adam is a gifted teacher who can effectively communicate any concept in a variety of ways- I would recommend him to anyone!
